About SAMIT
SAMIT was an idea born overnight.... when two aspiring musicians moved to Toronto and started looking for a forum where 'practitioners' of South Asian music could meet together and share their experiences, thoughts and network with each other. While there were many talented musicians and bands who were performing on a regular basis around the GTA, there was no simple way to get their contact information.
Thus was born SAMIT.... a forum that lets all the critical elements - Singers, Instrumentalists, Live Sound Service Providers and Event Planners / Organizers - interact with each other and create memorable South Asian musical events.
